Deliberation at Abu Ali Sena Institute

SACH organized Deliberation on 2nd December, 2015 at Abu Ali Sena Institute Danishabad to mark 16 days of activism. The event was started by recitation of the verses of Holy Quran. Introductory session of SACH and 16 days of activism was delivered by Afzal Khan (Outreach Counselor-SACH. Community members shared success stories of their lives. Afghan students and teachers have participated in deliberation. Religious scholar delivered a speech about the theme of the year. All the commotions were prepared regarding the theme of the year, i.e., making education safe for young people.

The activity was joint efforts of SACH staff, and Students, teachers, Principals of afghan schools, community members of Afghan refugees. The UNHCR representative ALI Husnain attended the event and appreciated SACH staff efforts to organize the energetic event for students. She also gave a massage that education is the basic right of all persons and discrimination should not be held on the basis of gender. She also motivated the students for higher education and promised UNHCR support regarding GBV and further cooperation in future.

The education officer of afghan consulate Mr. Abdur rehman aziz, joint the event, also briefed about their educational program running by the consulate for afghan students. He gave a massage to all afghan students that to get higher education and be the part of this developed global world. He thanked SACH/UNHCR for their support and cooperation with afghan refugees and appreciated their efforts.

At the end Task Manager-SACH thanked all the participants, guests, students and teachers of the community for joining the event and also appreciated the efforts of all participants for making a successful event. The activity was winded up with a Cake cutting ceremony jointly with all guests as one voice to stop GBV and also left colored hand impression by everyone present in the event, which was reflected to stop Gender based violence.
